Seventy Cantos

Format  Octavo   Condition Very good

Gallup A61b. Original cloth in price-clipped dustjacket. Endpapers and top edge slightly foxed but internally fine. Dustjacket chipped at edges and darkened at spine. A Draft of XXX Cantos

Published by Faber & Faber London 1933

Edition 1st English

Format  Octavo   Condition Good

Gallup A31d. Untrimmed internally fine copy in original black cloth with some abrasion to spine edges resulting in small loss lower spine which does not affect gilt titling. Ownership signature Harley Williams 1933 on first endpaper. Laid in at rear is a somewhat soiled headed postcard (Ezra Pound / Via Marsala 12-5 / Rapallo) with 25-word typed message beginning ‘P/S/’ and referring obliquely to a VOU event in Tokio [sic]; Pound has added by hand ‘20 Jan’, his extravagant signature and note ‘letter received yesterday’. Postmark on verso appears to read 29.1.37; the typewritten addressee is ‘Mis[abrasion] Leona, 61 Gt Cumberland Place, London W.1. Inghilterra’ -- the abrasion caused by small glue patch formerly attaching the card to rear pastedown, similarly damaged.
