Laid in is a postcard-size drawing signed by the author & titled in her hand; also a folded card with colour illustration, an invitation to her exhibition at the Masbro Centre 2004, with her brief als to Lee Harwood; and also an envelope addressed to Harwood in Hove containing an approx 250-word als and ephemera.

Cloth mottled, dustjacket darkened at edges & with missing fragments top edge. Author’s signed inscription on fly to the poet D.S.Savage, Mevagissey, summer 1959. Laid in is a 2-page signed typescript of Rexroth’s 90-line poem ‘Lament for Dylan Thomas’; this appears in the book as the 4th section of the Thomas memorial poem ‘Thou Shalt Not Kill’. Also laid in is a signed typescript letter of approximately 900 words from Rexroth to Savage, on airmail paper postmarked Jan 22 1951; the letter includes an anecdote about Thomas and remarks about Herbert Read, the Anarchist Congress in Paris, mysticism, alchemy, A.E.Waite, Henry Miller and ‘how close the USA is to war. I think there is very little chance of them not starting it in the next two or three months’.
